I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who was able to attend this years reunion. This was my first opportunity to make it and I enjoyed the evening. Being that I drive a desk now it was nice to be back among tankers. For those of you who shared a dinner table with me (and I aplogize for not remembering everyone) I thank you for a wonderful night of conversation and good dinner and I have held true to my word my Steel Tiger tatoo is now done.
LTC Gavin unfortunetly my schedule does not support me attending your change of command tomorrow but best wishes to you Sir and thank you for the warm recepition and the reunion.

Steel Tigers currently enjoying the 2010 Reunion at El Paso, I am unable to attend but send my best wishes to all Steel Tigers, especially the active duty soldiers recently returned from Iraq.
I had hoped to greet each attending soldier as well as your outstanding leaders, LTC Galivan and CSM Yuraska. You have compiled the best combat record the Battalion has ever achieved by minimizing casualties. One KIA is too many, but far fewer than any previous command.
I hope to see you at the 2011 Reunion!
Chuck

If any of you Steel Tigers are thinking of coming to the reunion, there is still time to make reservations. If you are not thinking of coming there is still time to change your mind. Plenty of fun to be had and the old war stories never stop coming. Get ahold of Bob and/or Connie Basners and make your plans. Hotel reservations can be made at 1-800-658-2744. It's 102.80 per night including taxes. If you would like to sponsor a returning troop for the banquet dinner mention this to Bob Basner and he will fill you in on what is needed. I think it's $22.00 per meal. Bon and Connie Baser can be reached at bobnconnie2@aol.com. Gerry Dubois

To all the soldiers I salute from the Steel Tigers,
I was a charlie then alpha team maintenance member back before this latest go around in Iraq. I shall always remember the days in Schweinfurt, Germany. And I will never forget the fallen. It pains me that I will never again wear the uniform i care so much about, nor be that battle buddy next to you all. I would give anything to be with you.
If anyone knows where i can find Sgt. Danny Hopper, SSgt. Southworth, or the old BMS SFC Carl Raby, please give them my email. To all members of 1/77 armour babttalion : Steel Tigers! Blood on the Axe! and contact me anytime day, night, or holiday. I miss my brothers and sisters in arms. Hooh-ah! 63E, Abrams Mechanic, Duane Schlender, D.A.V.
