We have a fellow living in Indiana who is looking to share a ride to Reunion 2006 in El Paso, and maybe share a double room also. He can't go unless he can cut expenses. Any help out there, please?

John, Thanks for talking with us on our Steel Tigers site. In order to help you better, I have forwarded your message to a few others who would know more about this incident than I do. Hope they are able to help you. Tom

I was with the 237th Maintenance Company/63rd Maintenance Bn in Quang Tri from October 1968 thru March, 1969 until I wentNorth to Dong Ha.

We had a Heavy Recovery Vehicle designed to retrive the self propelled artiery and at times we recovered tanks.

Our unit was accross the road from the 1/5 Mechanized. And I recall incoming hit one of the huts. For the last 37 years I thought that a barber that cut my hair was killed that day. However upon recent investigation I learned it was a SGT Gordon Gardner of the 1/77 that was killed on 3 February 1969. Does anyone know of the Barber I speak?
His hut must have been close to or part of the communications hut that was hit that day.

Please Help me close this chapter in my life!!!!!!!!!!!

God Bless our Country !

We have heard today from CSM Joe D. He and wife Jean Offutt are fine, unaffected by the floods in the low areas by the river. Sunland Park Motel is also dry. Please continue to send your Reunion 2006 registrations, and your motel reservations.

I was talking to Tom Rosser and he and I plan on leaving Southern California by car and heading south to San DIego and make a left turn following route 10. NO real plans on departure but Tom wants to take his car and Viv and I at this time plan on taking her Honda Element. Any one want to plan on meeting (car-o van) up with us? Departure time is still up in the air so speak up if it sounds interesting.. Gerry

Pete, Glad to see that you are coming again. I don't think you have missed any reunions since you first started coming. For you and any others with late or very early arrivals: if the registration desk is closed when you arrive, just check into the motel, and check back at the registration desk the next morning, or a little later in the morning. We will have the latest info for the next several hours posted somewhere around the registration desk so you are not late for any event. Hopefully, there will also be a notice of when the registration will be open again. Tom
